Don M. Silk, CFP®, CLU®, ChFC, CASL®
Don M. Silk is dedicated to serving the investment and financial needs of his clients by offering personalized financial planning advice, along with a wide variety of products and services. His firm’s goal is to build long-term relationships that aim towards reducing his clients’ taxes, work toward their retirement objectives and attain the confidence that comes with financial freedom. Don is well-known for his ability to make complicated financial matters easy to understand and for his capacity to design effective and creative solutions.
Since 1993 Don has been developing custom financial plans and providing clients access to managed portfolios, mutual funds, stocks, bonds, and other investment opportunities, which enables him to implement and fund their individual plans.
As an independent associate of Northeast Planning Associates, Inc. (NPA), Don has experience in Retirement Planning, Wealth Management, Advanced Estate Planning, Tax Management, Education Planning, and Qualified Plans. He holds his Series 6 (Limited Securities Representative); Series 63 (Uniform Securities/Blue Sky Laws); and Series 7 (General Securities Representative) through LPL Financial. He holds his Series 65 (Uniform Investor Advisor Law) through LPL Financial and Northeast Planning Associates, Inc. Don received his CFP® through The College for Financial Planning in Denver, Colorado, and his CLU, ChFC and CASL® from the American College in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania.
Don works with his associates and staff at his Newington office location, and is part of an “on-call” advisor team to members of Holy Rosary Credit Union with offices in Rochester, Dover and Farmington.
Don and his wife, Barb, are active members of their local church, and enjoy volunteering for Safe Haven Ballet. They live in Dover and have three adult married children, Lissa, Zach and Tiffany, and seven grandchildren. The family is blessed to all live in close proximity, and enjoy spending family time on the Seacoast and boating on beautiful Lake Winnipesaukee.
